Respectfully, I don't think your Mayor is all she's cracked up to be.

If the businesses who pay for the dumpsters were the only ones putting trash in them, perhaps they would not need so many.

When a dumpster is used by the entire town as a trash disposal service, then a person who is a part of the entire town should not complain about it.

I know of one man who was so cheap he canceled his home pick up for garbage, took his garbage to work, and dumped it off there. It was really something to see him arrive (very) early on Monday - so as not to be seen - and watch him dump off his garbage.

You are right. Everybody is a freakin' dreamer. But they don't stop to think about the work involved. Thanks for telling the truth.

I applaud the fact Mitchell's moved their dumpsters for Riverfest. If only that could become a permanent move. Why doesn't that happen during the farmers market? Riverfront property is no place for dumpsters to be permanently located often with old used toilets sitting around them, not that main street property is any better, nor is it a place for a company truck parking lot. It is unthinkable that this is allowed and that Mitchell's actually does this and thinks nothing of it. It is always such a pleasant view of the town to see those dumpsters when coming across the Elizabeth bridge. Temporary construction dumpsters is one thing but permanent business dumpsters for years at a time along the riverfront is crazy. This years famers market pictures were taken in a way to minimize those dumpsters in the pictures. There were pictures from last years farmers market that showed the event with those dumpsters that actually had toilets sitting around them. One can only shake their head in disbelief.

Have you seen the houses on Town Hill? Not much better than Mitchell's dumpster. Talk about an eye sore!

Most dumpsters have lids and they do make locks for dumpsters that come over top of the lids. It may be a pain to unlock it every time however it keeps people from putting their stuff in their dumpster who refuse to pay for garbage. Of course nobody bothers really actually collecting the past due garbage it just goes to collection and they ignore it.

Buy the property and do what you want with it. End of story.

Disbelief is correct. ---> Who the hell would put a farmer's market right next to some dumpsters?
